Story behind the product~ The original masks of the Dan culture of Liberia and Ivory Coast are among the most easily recognised of Africa, as they have a high forehead & a pointed chin. The Dan masks are sacred, as they are believed to give protection. This example of a long-billed bird is beautifully carved from timber.
